At M-TEK (Assembly) Ltd we take your privacy very seriously. This document sets out the rules we follow regarding how we use any personal information we collect/hold about you and your rights to access the personal information we hold.

What Information We Collect and How it is Obtained

We obtain this information when you correspond with us, whether by phone, email or in person with any employee of M-TEK. We would also get this information on our website when you fill out our enquiry form.

When setting up an account with us, or paying for products with a credit card, we will ask for additional payment/billing details.

How Your Information Will Be Used

c. To keep a record of when and why you contact us and to keep your contact details up-to-date.
d. For statistical, analytical or survey purposes – so we can improve our websites and our services to you

When someone visits www.mtek.co.uk we use a third party service, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site. This information is only processed in a way which does not identify anyone. We do not make, and do not allow our third party services to make, any attempt to find out the identities of those visiting our website. We do not store or record cookies on our website. If this changes in the future, we will let our users know.

Your personal information may be processed by us or our service providers outside the European Economic Area in countries that don’t have the same standards of protection for personal information as the UK.

If your personal information is processed outside the European Economic Area we will ensure that your personal information will be adequately protected as required by data protection law. However, the only information we share would be in the form of drawings or specifications supplied by you. If you object to any data being shared, please ensure this information is removed from these documents or we are informed at the time of submission that this information is not to be shared.

We use PayPal to process credit card payments. Your personal information and credit card details will be processed on our behalf by PayPAl. We will ensure that your personal information will be adequately protected as required by data protection law.

We will disclose any of your personal information to any third party where we are under a duty to do so in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or protect any of our rights, property or safety (or those of our customers).

We have appropriate security measures in place in our physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information that we have collected from you and we never disclose the personal information we hold without prior agreement.

For the purposes of data protection legislation we are the data controller for your personal data.

It includes information you provide relating to an order, sales enquiry, supplier enquiry, data gathered at events, using and browsing our website and enquiring about any vacancies we may have. Who do we share your personal information with?

How long do we keep your information for?

If you apply for a job vacancy (or otherwise send us your CV) we will retain your CV for a period of 6 months. If we are considering you for a particular role we may retain this information for longer than that period.

We will take all reasonable steps necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this policy.

We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used, accessed, altered or disclosed in an unauthorised way. We ensure our employees, agents and contractors are aware of their privacy and data security obligations.

The first copy of your information that you request from us will be provided free of charge. If you require further copies we may charge an administration fee to cover our costs.
