Reasons Why a PC Motherboard Fails

In some circumstances, power supply fluctuations or problems with a component of the motherboard circuit might potentially cause overheating. Ironically, hiding intake and exhaust fans can be accomplished by placing a laptop on your lap or another soft surface.

A short-to-ground is typically created when an impact forces a component to touch parts of the board that it was not intended to. Damage from spills is also rather typical. Tea, energy drinks, mountain dew, and even water have all been known to instantly destroy motherboards when they come into touch with system boards.

Since motherboards are manufactured in large quantities, manufacturing flaws are possible. Inexpensive motherboards also frequently malfunction. The majority of motherboards come with a warranty, which should cover costs if issues develop during the warranty term, which is sometimes only one year and, of course, does not cover user-generated issues. Sometimes, but typically not, the makers acknowledge the flawed designs. Wear and Tear 

If another component doesn't malfunction first, your motherboard will eventually fail. This is true. It has a limited lifespan because it is an electrical circuit board. If properly maintained, some good motherboards can last you up to 50,000 hours of use, if not even longer. Once they have served their purpose, they do break down, and you could need to replace them or your entire computer.
