"For over 23 years, Berkshire-based Contract Electronics Manufacturer, M-TEK Assembly Ltd, has established new manufacturing throughput performances, focusing on engineering and production excellence  " - F. Kayrouz

In order to meet the demand and challenges of its expanding volume production, British contract electronics manufacturing company based in Berkhsire M-TEK (Assembly) Ltd, has as part of its captial investment, quality improvement programme, added to its extensive equipment list of AOI and Comparator systems for the inspection of mounted PCBs, one of the latest AOI systems from German manufacturer Geopel Electronics. The company decided in favour of the technologically-leading company GOEPEL electronics and its OptiCon AdvancedLine AOI system with the latest Chameleon 360º angled view camera.

M-TEK (Assembly) Ltd has found that GOEPEL electronic's OptiCon BasicLine AOI system is an extremely effective tool in the production process solution for SMD and THT inspection. Time and cost savings, as well as an increased quality were viewed as cornerstones of competitiveness, all achievable with the new inspection system. The advanced test program creation and extraordinary flexibility were additional critical points during the AOI system selection process in which GOEPEL electronics OptiCon BasicLine delivered the best results.

Technical Director for M-TEK (Assembly) Ltd, Trevor Izod said:
"This is part of a key investment for M-TEK over our next FY and will enhance our high technology capabilities in line with our philosophy of constantly improving our quality and guaranteeing to sustained high quality." Quality Manager for M-TEK, Peter Stoneham said "Our evalution team considered various machines available to us and decided that the GOEPEL electronics machine based on our ever moving technologies and the proven high quality, the speed and technical capabilities of the Geopel AOI with the advanced Chameleon systems".

As the electronic industry moves towards denser real-estates, larger production volumes due to re-shoring products with finer pitch and smaller size components, system versitality and especially lifted lead detection is paramount . General Manager for M-TEK (Assembly) Ltd, Frederic Kayrouz said: "We have had a very strong year as a result of our customers trust. We will continue to invest in talent and leading technology to ensure we can deliver the latest technology products with the highest quality."

M-TEK will be exhibiting on Stand L80 at the Southern Manufacturing & Electronics Show from the 10th to the 12th of February 2015. Visit their stand and meet their team who will be pleased to address any prototyping, small, medium to volume assembly requirements you may have.
